Bees at last

Thanks to a friend from my beginners course I finally have Bees, he passed on a swarm that appears to be staying put for now, busy foraging today. Quick question though; in my WBC I have an Open Mesh floor with the inspection board in, should I remove it for extra ventilation?

Yes that is only for inspecting for varroa which can be done on odd occasions during the year. Remove it

How many frames is the swarm covering?

If it was very small I would leave it in as it would help with heat loss.
