BeeBase 'known risk'

Hi folks,
I am aware that some people have reservations about beebase.
However, I've just updated my apiary on it and it says 'Known Risk: disease within 3km in the last 90 days'
Obviously not the best thing to read but hardly surprising.
What diseases trigger these warnings? foul broods?
How do I find out more?

It means there has been an outbreak of foulbrood within 3km. If you go the disease maps it will show you where the outbreak was and what it was

Thanks, I suppose there's little one can do at this time of year. Looks like EFB on the maps.

I'd not panic about it, personally. Just be aware of the problem and be diligent with your disease inspections and biosecurity. I have apiaries within and near the edge of what I think is the worst-affected 10km square (for EFB) in the country this year, which has actually been something of a problem area for a few years now. I've had a number of inspections by the SBI at all my sites and she's not found any disease issues so far. I was discussing potential new sites with the her recently as I had to move out of one of mine this year and she said that it didn't really matter where I moved the colonies in the locality as she'd consider them all "high risk" anyhow, so I shall just carry on doing what I'm doing.

Inspection notification via email from sbi got all clear then general area email to all giving warning
