Am sorry for the loss and destruction that’s caused I would really suggest contacting your local paper as well and can even mention as an aside that you had had neighbour issues even naming them and suggest they ask the neighbours to comment but under no circumstances suggest they are responsible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!but you can show any correspondence with them or anything factual you have a record of.....personally I would let things settle and then return the favour

Phone call to the police, make a diary of your previous interactions with the individual, document everything no matter how small and find a lawyer who can help you put together a civil case.

At this point, don't post anything further on social media about this and don't speak to them. Police will put together a criminal case, if they think there is enough evidence to suggest that they did it and you will be able to recover the value of the hives.

Of-course this is devastating, as a farmer we've had barns set on fire before and lost thousand of pounds of straw but never stock.

We have been subject numerous break-ins and vandalism and even with images of the bxxxds have not been able to get a conviction.

Just because someone has complained and given you grief, proving they set fire to your hives is another matter. I hate to say this, but I doubt without more than circumstantial evidence the police would be able to help.

On saying that, I would still report to the police just so the crime is recorded. I don’t have a particularly good view of our press but maybe involving them any published pics may make the perpetrator think again.

Since no one has said it. You have invested a lot in bees and clearly enjoy it. You have a right to keep. Go and buy a small motion activated wildlife camera (or two). Plant it/them in the under growth. Vandalism and wanton destruction is no way to act. Gather the evidence. Do not post on any social media. Only act when you have the evidence and use it as will best defend your position.

On the original car thing. Surely as forage moves so will the principle line of flight? It cant always be over that car from your hives?

Here we call that arson and it is treated seriously by the police and the courts.

Unbelievable absolutely unbelievable. Feel so sorry for you. Restock and install cctv. Unless you have evidence cannot see police being able to do anything. Local press would surely be interested.

very upsetting.

What I would do now is set up a new Apiary in the exact same spot. Also as suggested, get yourself a wildlife camera and position it so that you can see the face of anyone that approaches the hives. Then gather as much evidence as you can.

Don't confront the suspected neighbour but observe her demeanour to see if you can detect any smugness. A sure give away.

I have a few frames and old but good National supers you can have to restart your beekeeping hobby if you want them.
