Bees in the wild often have to replace their comb as they co-exist with waxmoths that feed off and destroy the old black stuff.

I have bees in my hives co-existing with wax moth but whats that got to do with shook swarming?

The bees do not suffer with OCD and replace all of the comb on a yearly basis. While the shook swarm has its place in beekeeping, justification of its use to the gullible every year because it is on the NBU website is outrageous. Just incase this is not directed at you masterBK. Just my opinion.
