I am sure my pattern is quite similar to others.

I took 40-90lb's from my honey producing hives at the end of July.

then august happened, which in some cases involved feeding.

during late september\october they have been piling it in.
Typically, I would feed 10-20l 2:1 per hive. this year, most have not been fed at all.


A proportion of my hives are kept as NUC producers (I am still expanding), so do not include them in my figures. If i did, the average would be lower.
 
One of our members, living and working on windswept Ynys Enlli/Bardsey Island off the North Wales coast, has had his best honey crop in 10 years, 300 pounds of honey from six hives.

lovely part of the world. the sole beekeeper on the island?
Must be a hard life for them (the bees)
 
At 24lbs I would have no business, Must be a lot of natural beekeepers answered the survey.:laughing-smiley-014
