My Basic badge has a green background, it's in a cupboard. Some people sew them onto their suits. I don't think the modules get badges.

I haven't sown my basic one on. Mine was also green background.

Just dug mine out to check, mine has a green background also. I do know someone who has seen Velcro onto the badge and their suit. When it would be displayed, who knows?

Just sewn on my 2nd badge (which I paid for) on my new Sherriff suit as I think it gives some reassurance to the public when they get a swarm collector in. It creates interest as well for those that don't get me through the BBKA web site.

well, keeps someone happy I suppose.

Probably the next thing will be anyone who gets a master beekeeper ticket will be issued with a pair of great big f*** off gold epaulettes to put on their suit to man the silver NDB gorget hanging around their neck

A medallion (as large as possible) hanging on a piece of lavatory chain around the expert bee keepers neck, is the least one might expect. Worn over a bee suit it will be easily spotted and thus give enormous reassurance to the public by clearly identifying the wearer as a man of exceptional knowledge and good taste.
