Looking for a failproof secret recipe

It is a secret...... a paste from Cymbopogon citratus is an essencial

rapeseed oil, from fresh rape seed acts as an amalgum, and icing sugar plus a pinch of sea salt keeps the sausage together.

I have tried mixing in shredded beeswax, but found the cotton or linen sausage skin / wrapper would get soaked in the wax if allowed to get too hot in the sun and prevent the pheremone mimicking aroma from wafting!

DO NOT USE ANY ALCOHOL, either ethyl or methyl or IPA

Essence of queen bee extracted in turpentine or even sycamore syrup is not necessary

Lemon grass purchased from a supermarket works fine if fresh, seed / young plants are now available for greenhouse propogation

The aromathepy oils are often cracked with an alcohol or spliced with citronella that works as a deterrant rather than an attractant to bees, often added as the true Cymbopogon citratus is not that strongly smelling to those that like to go for all this homeopathetic nonsence!

Steam distilled Cymbopogon citratus oil is not as potent as the freshly crushed plant, but acts as a second best replacement.

Place in hive on a new moon..... you have just missed one! AND BE SURE TO REMOVE IT BEFORE THE NEXT FULL MOON !!
Hive MUST be facing just South West of South in full sun at 12.00 GMT, that is about 1.00 in the afternoon, depending how far east or west you are of the meridian.

Place hive as high as you can get it, at least one meter or 3 old fashoned feet, but no more than 6 feet ( one fathom?) above the ground.

I have just attracted 2 grists into bait hives
If I told you Grandads secret failsafe ingrediant I would have to kill you!

I accept no responsibility for the above or the use of it.

The only sausages I have are from my (ex) Gloucester old spot pigs ... and very tasty they are too !! (Dont think they would attract many bees but possibly a few Beeks lol).
