Anyone been stung by a hornet??? Sore???

I havent but certainly think it would hurt. A lady I know was cutting eucalyptus trees and came across an asian hornet nest, she is a hardy farming lady who has been stung by my bees and wasps, 11 stings and she was fighting for her life in hospital. When I stun them the venom drips out of the stinger, I havent seen that on any other stinging insect. They have attidude too, they regularly circle you, certainly not scared off like european hornets.

This could lead to a mass exodus of devoted two hive owners to places like Finland, where their bees won't be harassed by Asian Hornets.

I’m going back to the frozen North
To the place where beeks are strong
Where they strive for a twelve foot hive
and the nights are six months long

with apologies to Eskimo Nell
