I know Apiguard can taint the taste of honey but is it harmful to us if we eat the honey affected? I ask because I left a super on two hives for the bees & didn't remove them before treating in Autumn, I tried tasting it recently & could hardly taste any tainting. I also wonder if. even if I hadn't left the supers on, the honey in the brood frames would be tainted too, but would the bees not possibly move this into supers in spring if there was some left, & so contaminate fresh incoming nectar with the Apiguard?

I don't think there is too much to worry about with the dilutions involved although there will be the odd customer with supersensitive taste buds (actually olfactory cells in the nose are used for detecting thymol) who might detect it (& may even prefer it!) Also doesn't Listerine mouth wash contain thymol and I imagine that not all of it gets spat out. There is thymol in thyme (hence the name) and loads gets eaten with the turkey stuffed with parsley and thyme stuffing.

Yes it does.
