Apiguard eke height

Hi all, anyone have the above eke and can advise the height? I got some 1" battens and gonna knock a few of these ekes out for my hive but wonder if 1" is gonna be too low or is it OK?

Inch is fine, you only need enough height to give bees room to walk over the trays
