I picked up one of the above at lunchtime, there are no instructions, through looking on the web i notice i need to cut some foundation and build the frames, pop in some fondant, and a cupful of bees.
Is it that simple ?
My questions being :
Some sites mention you have to pop in the bees with the queen, shut it up and store for a coule of days somewhere cool and dark before placing on the site, is that correct ?
Also there are holes for the Queen cells, can you introduce a hatched virgin ?, either directly to the bees once they realise they are queenless, or via a cage ?
(The Queen hatched out this lunchtime) she is small but perfectly formed.
