Why would anyone want to identify the location of their hives to a publicly accessible site?

Its not bad reasonably interesting one obvious draw back but from what I have seen its people with things to sell rather than I suspect actual apiary sites.

It requires you to pinpoint on the map of the alleged apiary… me things Tower Bridge!

I agree with Tom, pop in some apiaries in juicy locations and then wait for the thieves, I believe thats called a honey trap?

I really don't see the point of this (apart from, as previous posts, letting villains know where hives are). Most beekeepers know where there are other apiaries in their area surely? Also they have a yellow circle which represents the '2 km foraging range'. I have always understood that the foraging range is closer to 5 Km.

do as i do i have the bee shed which normaly has two or three inside and are very hard to get and some outside the rest are miles away from there for security reasons mainly
