Its not bad reasonably interesting one obvious draw back but from what I have seen its people with things to sell rather than I suspect actual apiary sites.

It requires you to pinpoint on the map of the alleged apiary… me things Tower Bridge!

I agree with Tom, pop in some apiaries in juicy locations and then wait for the thieves, I believe thats called a honey trap?
 
I really don't see the point of this (apart from, as previous posts, letting villains know where hives are). Most beekeepers know where there are other apiaries in their area surely? Also they have a yellow circle which represents the '2 km foraging range'. I have always understood that the foraging range is closer to 5 Km.
