Hi,
I caught a swarm around the 30th June up until yesterday the bees had been slowly getting less and less and no eggs or larvae were on the frames I bought a mated queen and added a frame of brood/ eggs yesterday and checked today and no queen cells have been started but I have found a section about 2" diameter with multiple eggs in it ie 2/3, on the sides and laying flat at the bottom. I have added the new queen in the cage with candy at the end as I can't find another one in the hive.
Do you think I have a queen and should I remove the other one or does it sound like I have a laying worker and leave the new queen in place? ( I hate to waste a new queen)
Thanks in advance
