Anyone got any experience of Abelo's Melliflow, Melliflow Pro, or the 2 in 1 wax melter & table?

Thanks

Yes, I treated myself to the melliflo pro. Very pleased. I thought it was worth paying extra for the insulation as it's a big internal stainless steel area that needs heating.

Thanks all, sounds positive.

I like the idea of the extra room with the 2 in 1.

Sorry I was referring to the 1 metre long tables.
Both are 1 meter long internally.

I didn't know they came in different lengths. One I have is a meter inside, 110cm external...not sure I'd want anything longer than that.

Wow, just looking at the specs for the wax melters and the 2 in 1 pulls 650w in the lid and 4000w in the base! By my reckoning the breaker for the garage circuit will trip or the wiring melt! :hairpull:

I dont have any problems using mine Bottom heating is bottom 650 w and cover 2 kw
Mine is 1 mtr long also make a cupa at same time kettle is 3kw no problem with electric tripping

Our similar device pulls much the same current... wired to a 16A supply as a 13A standard 3 pin plug would probably get hot an become a fire risk with all that melted beeswax and vapours close by!!

Nos da

Surely they would not be on the market if there was a risk of them burning someones property to the ground.

I may be wrong (I'm no sparky) but my reckoning you're good for about 3680w. A better man than me could tell you what diameter cable is needed. :)

I'd be happy to do that on my 16A circuit as the kettle will only be on for a minute or so and your melter is 2650w and not 4650w like the 2 in 1.

Some of those posh ovens and hobs can be 7000w or more. Nothing to stop you wiring it into a 1.5mm t&e and watch your house burn down except a piece of paper telling you to have it fitted by a qualified electrician :winner1st:

The cover has its own plug and the heated bottom has its own plug

That's safer as you've got 2 X 13A on a double socket but I'd still be conscious of the total load on the circuit if, for instance, the kettle, extracting room heater, and a heat gun were on.

13amps per socket so 13 x 240v = 3120 watts.
So each socket should be fine for up to 3kws.

Theoretically as long as you are running from several sockets should not be a problem....using a single extension cable from 1 x 13 amp socket will be a problem.

We have on occasions run kettle, 3 KW electric fire, Washer/dryer(wife) and 3 kw from my melter, plus also have warming cabinet switched on all from downstairs ring main with no problems.
I did check my fuse box to see if getting warm....Nahhh.
But worth checking in case your house is badly wired.
