After having a swarm take up residence in a spare BB in my garden last Thursday, I get home to another making it their home today.
There were a lot of bees flying around, fighting going on where bees were trying to enter whilst others were protecting it...lot of casualties all around the ground, a proper little war zone with other dead /injured ones being carried away.
Have just checked it now as it's dark and all appears calm, looks like a small cast swarm has taken it, with bees in a cluster between two frames and bees walking around. Couldn't see a queen but as I was using a torch, holding the frame and unsuited I didn't spend too much time on it.
Hopefully they hold out until tomorrow night when I may have a chance to move them into a smaller box /nuc to give them a chance.
