Mine did this for 3 consecutive days (early May) at exactly the same time of day until I did an AS. The reason for mine returning to the hive was that the queen had been clipped, probably not the case with you. Wonder what will happen with yours.

I would try to find and contact the new land owner asap, Just because the farmer THINKS you can not keep the bees there he doesn't KNOW you can not. There is no reason why the new person is not totally ameneable to the idea of bees being kept on his new land, he may love the idea!?! Clare

After two failed swarms (they returned to the hive) and not finding the queen yesterday evening, we have now found and moved the queen into a new hive positioned on the old site. They have just done it again They all flew out and have now returned at the end I saw the queen in the cluster on the entrance. We are going to do an AS at about 5.00pm as the only time I have a hand. Is this a bit late ? It is quite warm here today so should be ok temp wise. What do you think...
