Advice needed for Drone laying hive

There is no other sealed brood, only drone sealed cells dotted about no eggs visible. They have not expanded beyond the 2 frames that i put in when AS was done. (one brood + queen and one stores) there is no worker brood. There are workers going in and out but they are outnumbered by drones on...

    Do wasps buzz?

It is in a part of the house where we get wasps nests every year. I am just being a bit hopeful that it is the missing swarm. I suppose we need to go up the ladder to have a close look xxx

    Do wasps buzz?

A swarm I caught and hived in May left the following day and have not been seen since. But.. lately at night in bed I have been hearing a tic tic tic noise in the skeeling above my head. I had a look yesterday and could see insects flying in by our chimney tiles, from a distance they look like...

    Wave Goodbye Say Hello

Mine did this for 3 consecutive days (early May) at exactly the same time of day until I did an AS. The reason for mine returning to the hive was that the queen had been clipped, probably not the case with you. Wonder what will happen with yours.

I feel like a real beekeeper now I have collected my first swarm from a tree

On Friday i did my first AS and seems successful, even though they swarmed 2 hours after the AS and then returned to the hive and have stayed put since. Today I thought both hives were going to swarm again, but could not think of a reason. The air was thick with bees and they were flying...

    Grumble grumble!

I would try to find and contact the new land owner asap, Just because the farmer THINKS you can not keep the bees there he doesn't KNOW you can not. There is no reason why the new person is not totally ameneable to the idea of bees being kept on his new land, he may love the idea!?! Clare
