1 new Nuc and a swarm caught on the 10th July
I checked the frame with the queen on and did not find any queen cells. I also put in a frame of stores (no queen cells) next to the frame + queen, filled the rest up with new foundation but at exactly 1.35 pm ( the same time as the 2 previous days) they swarmed for 10-15 mins then returned to their new hive on their old site.
What do you think?
Thanks Clare

Just Bumping to the top
Do you think they will continue to swarm for a few days?
Why are they swarming after an AS?
Queen is there in new hive and no queen cells.
Should I worry ?
Cheers Clare

Try sticking a Q/E under the brood box to stop queen wandering. She might be slim enough to get through but its worth a try.

are you sure she is not a virgin queen going on her mating flights with a few bees following

It was the original queen marked blue,
I am going to wait to see if they do it again today, and if they do I will go in and have another look to see if I missed a queen cell.
