Only just getting around to treating my bees now for Varoa and wondering for this time of the year with the weather getting cold what would the best treatment, in previous years I've always treated in the first week in September

All true you can never be sure, but the least we can do is stop purposely feeding our bees processed sugar and water

You can never guarantee sugar water doesn't end up in the crop

Wouldn't want to buy any jars of honey of you, most likely be a jar of sugar water I'd say

hi everyone is there anyone out there that make there own foundation? I made some today and it turned out well but theirs a few specs of dirt embedded in the wax strips, my question is does the wax have to be spotless before the bees to build it out and expand it, thanks

thanks for the replys, I use paper from some old novel books which im sure isn't harmful to the bees, its one of my three hives in particular which I might try and requeen.

hi all can over smoking and not washing the stings out of the bee suit regularly cause the bees to be aggressive on inspections thanks

sorry for getting back late, when I got around to checking the hives all three had laying queens and thankfully all three a flat out working on the ivy even in wet weather, thanks everyone for there help
