Mine did this for 3 consecutive days (early May) at exactly the same time of day until I did an AS. The reason for mine returning to the hive was that the queen had been clipped, probably not the case with you. Wonder what will happen with yours.

I would try to find and contact the new land owner asap, Just because the farmer THINKS you can not keep the bees there he doesn't KNOW you can not. There is no reason why the new person is not totally ameneable to the idea of bees being kept on his new land, he may love the idea!?! Clare

It was the original queen marked blue, I am going to wait to see if they do it again today, and if they do I will go in and have another look to see if I missed a queen cell. clare
