Will a fence cause confusion?

I had a couple of nucs at the side of my house. From hive to fence probaby not even 2 metres..

They fly in like Harrier Jump jets .

I put up one panel and they were all over it, although it doesn't appear to have confused them. They're still investigating, so I think I'll wait until evening to put up the second - that'll allow me to screw it fast without onlookers.
