Hi.
After taking advise. I removed the super from my hive.
I noticed, after two weeks of moving in, the bees seem to still only be building one the one frame (old comb)
It also looks like they have built out so far that there may not be room to build on the next frame. It is prob only a caste swarm, and wondered if this is normal practice.

I know the bees will sort themselves out, but happy for any advice anyone can offer,

Thanks,
Craig.

Have you fed them and given them new foundation while you have the opportunity to get rid of the old rubbish?

If the colony is really that tiny........one frame......then you have to make them really cosy. One drawn frame each side and dummy each side of that. Close the floor, possibly feed. I would give them neopoll or fondant. A see through crownboard might be a nice idea so that you can keep an eye without disturbing them. If you have a poly nuc that would be ideal.
Best of luck

I was feeding.. Removed today. They seem busy most of the day, wth heavy bright yellow legs.

BBG!!! Old rubbish?

One frame old comb and the rest new with foundation.

Glad to hear it, now they'll try their best.
