This weed is flowering but I'm not sure what it is. A type of mustard?

I reckon you are right there Ian123. It tasted a lot like cabbage. I've heard a lot of talk on the forum about OSR but I realise now that it very likely the same plant that we call Canola here in Australia. Anyhow, the bees seemed to be going for it, hanging on to the flowers in the typical blustery spring conditions we have here now.

Just saw your post Murox....I'm noticing a heap of it in wasteland and verges ......

Spring not producing much honey yet unfortunately. Largely dry flowers again I suppose. Terrible drought in NSW and some queen suppliers unable to supply because of it. One of the best bee magnets are flowering locally, but hardly a bee on them this year.

Veronica ?

Very strong aroma of Ivy emanating from and around my colonies.

Ivy just beginning to flower here in sunny South Wales. Lots of flower buds for weeks, but just starting to open now the weather has crashed. I hope it stays warm enough for the bees to take advantage.
