White
Bumbles will use white and red

but which white eric? i would imagine an ordinary non improved/commercial type as commercial strains are made with cattle/sheep etc in mind and not bees. each variety will suit different bees depending on flower size/depth and tongue.

The white clover I'm familiar with is Trifolium Repens and that is what I have planted. It's popular with the bees but last year we had so much rain they didn't get to forage on it. Such a shame, fields full and ne'er a bee.
Bumbles like the red Trifolium Pratense which blooms earlier here in Cumbria
