I was watching a Youtube video recently called "Récolte de hausses" which shows a rather neat, if expensive, boom hive lifter in operation. About 5min 10 secs or thereabouts into the video the guy lifts off a mesh cover which has a strange bar across the centre. It looks for all the world like some Nicot queen rearing modules, only they're on their side - so that wouldn't make any sense. Could it be some kind of drinker/feeder ?

Ah got it - those are cones underneath the mesh - yes that would work ...

This forum seldom disappoints.

Thanks guys.

Advanced driving course around the cones?

I have heard good thing about non-porter escape clearer boards, like "The don't take and entire day to clear a damn super"

Nicot do a handy bee escape which you can clip to the crown board under the feed hole just for clearing. Dimensions are 122mm x 370mm.
