I made four single hive stands today. Recently I've heard a few people talk about the freedom to position and orientate hives on single stands. I have some of the flatpack stands from retailers but they look and feel very flimsy. Useful perhaps for stacking boxes during an inspection so you don't have to bend so far to lower and pick them up again. So I made these sturdy stands using my newish amateur table saw. So many passes in the saw to cut the rebates! I had ear protection but my wife said I should have been handing out mufflers to the neighbours.
I thought fenceposts were best for legs but having cut them up, I'm not so sure.
