Association apiary this morning, dropped off a few nucs I've sold then an afternoon up in carreg apiary, not had time to take a harvest yet so the hives are getting rather tall

That looks impressive
With them tall stacks you got a brood box on half way up the stack do u move sealed brood up there from bottom??

As predicted the three new Nucs had to be moved through the robbing little barstewards (Not wasps)..the 2018 f3 clipped Queen tried to swarm again today she is no more after meeting my foot..the remaining colony had all Queen cells removed and united to a weaker colony over news paper..

Initially yes, but I'm winding the Demarrees down now and leaving them backfill the cells - those in the Photo are all full of honey

Good to see you back I went for the demaree method on my 3 hives 1 I messed up by swapping too many frames from the top box to bottom during a flow and had to retrieve a swarm the other 2 I sorted a day later and after more thought and kept them together to form to massive producers

You have also helped me through the forum in other ways so cheers
Caught this one before I lost it!

Well as predicted the three nucs i made up with 2019 Queens on Saturday where getting robbed to death again like last year by my own bees..i closed them up and took them for a 1.5 hour journey and that fettled that..
I also united a swarmy colony with plenty of brood to a weaker none swarmy colony but not before the bitch tried to swarm again a few weeks after the last time..i spotted the white marked clipped Queen running around on the ground so she got my boot...i then went through the brood box and destroyed all the Queen cells and the 50/50 drone brood to be on the safe side and united over news paper..

Full inspection of hives, all looking good and one is brood wall to wall on 11 14x12 frames filling over 2/3rd of middle frames.
The little swarm that we housed in a nuc is looking even more pathetic and only has enough bees to cover one frame of brood about the size of a fist, and its quite sad to see the queen running around on the frame looking a bit lost.
Extracted a super of honey, = 30 x 12oz jars with a bit of cooking honey left.

Well give the nuc one of those wall to wall emerging frames 😃

Would do but all the hives are 14x12 but the nuc is standard national, may take the nuc to the WLBKA on Wednesday as there are people there desperate for queens and the few hundred bees that are with her are quite old. but could help a Q- hive quite nicely.

Cut the emerging brood out of the 14x12 frame the same size as a national frame and use elastic bands to hold it in place in the empty national frame..and put whatever is left on the 14x12 frame back in the hive till the brood as emerged then put a new frame in its place.. job sorted..;)

Added super #5 to some of my colonies. Heavy heavy flow now - lime trees open, fields of white clover and bramble still going strong.

Burned half a dozen frames heavily infested with wax moth. Treated the rest of them with undiluted acetic acid fumes. That's going to be a fun job to clear out....
