Hi all.
Inspected my strong hive this morning. I lost a swarm from them last Tuesday. I cut out all but 1 cell. This morning, I could not see the cell from last week. Could I now be permanently Q-?

I was going to follow the advice of a member and unite with a weaker hive, but I think I should keep her incase the bees do not raise a Queen in the stronger.

Maybe i just missed it. I will have a look again later as I may add a second super.

Any advise on what I should do now, gratefuly recieved.

Thanks,
Craig.:nature-smiley-016:

No. Only looked half built. Full of Royal jelly. No sealed cells, but they swarmed anyway.

did you damage the cell in any way? (shaking the frame) ?

No. Was carefull. But as the hive was not as full, I could inspect the cell without disturbing bees.

I would bet if you put in a test frame you would get nothing built on it. ;)

There was a half built cell which has now vanished. From that I conclude there was a sealed cell that was missed and then hatched and so there was no need for a further one.
