Wax capping

I have my wax capping from my last extraction(clean and free from honey) is there any way I can give these back to the bees to help them build up for the season if so how and how many other beekeepers do this your thought please

The only thing I know is that when you give them back to clean them up...don't leave them in for too long as they make some weird and wonderful shapes out of it.

IMHO best use for cappings wax is to melt it down, filter it and make either show wax exhibits or candles.

If you put them in a Miller / wooden style feeder with a crown board on top, they will clean them up and leave you with nice dry flakes of wax. But as above, don't leave too long, just a day or two. Or even just a tray inside an eke will do the same job.

They will not as far as I know recycle it, that is down to you.

They use the wax they produce from their glands to build comb.
