Well that I'll have to do tomorrow now. I'll breath and start again :)

In the meantime I am looking to find the person who runs this site to put in a complaint. To think I was about to donate but after today I will not!!!

Take a big breath, calm down; Rab's advice was good advice even if his delivery and bedside manner was a little tetchy. As a newbie, myself, I tend to spend a fair amount of time scanning the internet, previous threads and the books before asking for advice - very often you will find the answer yourself and the experienced beeks on here are more conducive to providing confirmation (or condemnation) of your own findings in a less direct manner when you have clearly done a fair amount of your own research and have reached some conclusion - right or wrong.

It's a great forum ... can be a bit rough and tumble ... but well worth the occasional rub or RAB !

For those that think the OP is a sensible sort.

Here is the charming PM I received from him tonight.

I bet you have a tiny little cock and you need to make yourself feel big. What a prick you are!!

I reckon he has maybe been looking in the mirror to get an idea for typing? Certainly not got it out of a book! Mind you, he is a loser, once again.[/QUOTE

Ahh ... that's not good - my last post crossed in the post with this one - If I'd seen this then perhaps I would not have bothered ... we can do without this sort of behaviour - no matter how provoked the OP felt.

Hi Steve, referring back to your earlier post amongst this thread of 'spatting' you mentioned many tiny mites. These are probably varroa mites before they develop into adults. Protonymph to deutonymph. Pale white in colour. I had a fair amount last year from a nucleus of bee's from Cornwall.

I don't get involved in the few spats there seem to have suddenly appeared on the forum and RAB certainly doesn't need any defending by me but the reason some experienced beekeepers get tetchy is that sometimes the most ridiculous questions get asked. I would have thought that knowing what a worker,a drone, a queen and a varroa mite look like was an absolute necessity before even putting bees in a hive. There is some advice you need before you even start!
It must rankle watching some beginners make such an arse of it because they haven't bothered with the basics.

Get a life you sad sad man!!!

Give over. I too suggested you get reading, because your original post indicated a lack of engagement with the subject. That may have been incorrect, but first impressions last.

You are right that nothing beats practical experience, but it is also true that knowing what to anticipate (based upon reading any of the may fine books out there) will prepare you better for what is to come.

RAB may be a bit grumpy, but it isn't malicious, which can hardly be said of your outburst.

Then as Steve said himself, I do hope the admins ARE watching. I think you should apologise Steve, for such juvenile behaviour. Not publicly, mind. I'm not interested in hearing any more.

Well maybe that was wrong but I was being ..... do you know what,..forget it. I will be never post on this site again. I also advise any new bee keeper to also not to post. There are some very unpleasant people that try and get you going and it works. Good luck to the lot of you.
Friendly bee forum lol

I still find it unbelievable that any beek or soon to be or want to be beek can not know what a varroa mite looks like.
There are pics in every beek book, and as I said earlier a one word search on google shows you all you need to see.
If you have read all the books then perhaps next time you visit the library look under B for Bees and not Blyton.

If you are not going to post anything further on this forum then that is up to you but at least acknowledge that others on here do know what they are talking about and at least read what they say and inwardly digest that which makes sense to you, and then read what somebody else had said and get completely confused.

Good luck.

It is friendly. But it takes give and take. You sent a personal attack to someone who was, believe it or not, more than prepared to help you. I know that because I have received that help myself.

Showing your true colours it seems lol
I sent a PM but instead of having a private argument it was aired publicly. My point exactly about wanting to have an open DRAMA.
Cyber bullying I think its called!!!

And I won't ***** off

Were you bullied as child? Hmmm I wonder! Now people can bully behind a computer screen... probably wouldn't in real life!

If the moderator wants to chuck me off then fine but I wont be told by you

Just take a chill pill guys, seems like you have too much time on your hands.
