This being my first year/months with bees i have not gone through the full circle as the saying goes.I am still waiting to see what happens when i have to move my bees sometime this week(my last post)
As i only have one poly hive and one poly nuc i want to overwinter the nuc with extensions and will check further into this method shortly.
I have not used any of the hive treatments yet and not sure what to go for so just doing searches . I saw the vapouriser and some good reviews but my question is (at last) can this be used on a poly nuc or is are they just made to fit the hive openings.

I'm not even sure I've ever seen a solid poly floor but yes, that's what I did with the pan type vaporizers as well. I also made a board with furniture foam acting as a seal around the edges, the nuc sat on top and the pan goes in the middle.

If you mean the gas-vape you can buy an extension spout for it that means you can vape from the front entrance.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. So just put it under the mesh on a wooden floor and i suppose just block up the gaps round the bottom of nuc.

Yes. You have to make up some sort of base for it to stand on
Use half the dose for a full size hive

Not sure I would expect a new beekeeper to vape their bees on health and safety grounds.

The issue I find is a large proportion condenses on the floor. I have not worked out how to adjust for that and find the idea of a nozzle through the entrance interesting. But that means an all-new vaper in place of my Varrox.

Yep
Which is why I got a Sublimox
Vaped at the back just over the OMF

Thanks for all the comments and the images are a big help .Just thinking though maybe MASTERBK is right( and i may be trying to run before i can walk my words not his). So being new would i be better to use another treatment like apiguard or something similar.I am willing to learn.

Have a little read up on vaping and the different methods to deliver your product it certainly is not difficult to do...also read up on the safety precautions..

Here is the tray i made out of plaster board...i used plaster board for when i use my pan type vaporizer for its fire proofing properties..
