In the past I have had hives vandalized at my out apiary.
Before school holidays I check that the fence is secure.
I strap each hive through the stand and over the crown board. When such a hive is pushed over it stays mainly together and bees have a better chance of surviving.
I also have a couple of signs warning of the danger of bee stings. They may make the yobbos retreat when there are a few bees flying around.

I know this area reasonably well, not exactly sure where the hives were but have a good idea. If my guess of location is correct neighbours would not have been an issue. More likely just an act of pure mindless vandalism.

I at present only have 1 nuc but planning on 3-4 hives for next year (2019). I have a stealth camera at present watching over the area but plan on setting up a "surprise" hive 😳💥

Just... dismay and incredulity :(
Hope beek gets back on their feet
