Using the cloake method in a dartington hive

Hi all.

I want to try grafting next year and I have a dartington hive that I don't plan to use for honey production.

I was wondering if I make a solid central divider and a divider with a Queen excluder the cloake method would work using the entrances on either side of the hive.

I thought that building up the colony using one entrance then separating the queen off to the other entrance and placing grafts in the queenless side should work. Then can swap the central divider for the Queen excluder and finish the cells off.

Anyone done this or can see a big problem with it?

No problems and it’ll work fine, I’ve made a long type hive and done the same in the past. Probably a good use for them really
