Using fondant instead of honey/syrup in min nucs.

No QE, just fondant wrapped in film/GP paper, flattened a> to form a thin sheet and placed directly on top bars.
Kielers - single and extended and Apideas with supers.

edit a> with a kitchen pastry roller working on the film/paper covered fondant so it does not get sticky

I am thinking about wintering 2 mini nucs for the first time are you using part of a QX to rest your fondant on thin metal one? These are kieler boxes?
There would be enough of a void for thin qx and some fondant

You can buy an additional Kieler body to go on top of your existing one. I have not tried but might be worth a go to give more space.
