Using a super as an eke for Fondant

Math is my main foreign language i will never get to grips with , i have done ok up to now with fingers and calculators but ask me a math question and i am goosed, ask me a wildlife one and i will answer, my granddad used to say to my Dad why is he reading bird book's ,he should be reading car manuals.. lol , my brain was triggered to wildlife/nature so SORRY everyone if i come across thick..

Algebra is mine.

I even tried an OU course in maths to prove to myself it was crap teaching at school but nope it's me. Numbers I am happy with and got over 90% in an O level prelim but as soon as x and bloody y appear I am stuffed. Totally unable to make sense of it at all.
