Well he did admit to being a heroin user for many years. Even got convicted for possession.

Even before that comment was made I had already predicted it, so lazy, now go have a look at the cases he has won against corrupt pharma food and aggri companies on behalf of thousands of the poor who have been harmed. He describes them as criminal enterprises and points to the $35b in fines they have had to pay which does not include compensation. And as for the left in the US, their snouts have been well and truly in the big pharma trough, the thought of RFK as head of health has sent them to
distraction. Watch Bernie Sanders when RKK takes him to task.

In process since 22 but got actioned as RFK was due to take over.

There was absolutely no guarantee that he would be confirmed. He only made it through to the full Senate hearings by a single vote as far as I recall and that could easily have gone the other way. I think it's most likely that the timing of the FDA announcement was just coincidence that people might be attributing to him on the basis of wishful thinking and the desperation to show that he's done something positive rather than any concrete evidence.

There are things that RFK Jr has said and done that I do very much support. Equally there are some where he's made himself look an absolute idiot when there was no reason to do so, particularly in relation to the field of medicine. We'll see what happens over the next few years. He may have some success reining in "Big Pharma" (and I'd be pleased if he did), though ultimately I think he'll struggle. I suspect his environmental credentials will either have to be jettisoned or will bring him into serious conflict with the Orange Man Baby. "Drill baby, drill" is hardly going to sit well with his previously espoused views on fossil fuels. Perhaps he'll deny that he ever held those views too.

My feeling is that the wheels may come off when his apparent desire to reduce the drug use in meat production, or the levels of pesticides used on fruit and vegetables has to be balanced against the likely consequence of increasing food prices. I can't see that going down well, and Trump has quite a lot of form for suddenly turning on people who are no longer "on message".

As I said the fight of his life and he does not need us to tell him what he is up against, the odds are stacked against him and any win is more that any previous administration has achieved , in fact they have done the polar opposite. The fact he won by only one vote and the reasons for which I have already stated.

I look forward to seeing how he proposes to "stop the crime of chemtrails" which he has said must happen (in a posting on the cesspit formerly known as Twitter).

Does he really believe it? Has he just cynically said it because he thinks it's net-positive in PR terms? Did "the worm" eat more of his brain than he's letting on?

Assuming he even tries, that's going to be one to save the popcorn for. And if he doesn't try, why not? There'll be an awful lot of unhappy conspiracy theorists if so. Actually there'll be a an awful lot of unhappy conspiracy theorists even if he claims he's succeeded, because claiming to have stopped the crime doesn't mean it isn't actually taking place. And anyone (even one of the conspiracy theorists themselves) who is employed to actually verify that it isn't happening any more will obviously have been got to by "them".

Or perhaps he'll just deny he ever wrote it...

That was a parody account of wishful thinking. You are still looking for the negatives, best leave that to the Dems and our very own Rory Stewart . I will of course cheer him on in the hope of some victories for mankind,.glass half full signing off............for now

The case of RFK and facts is rather parallel to that of monkeys, typewriters and Shakespeare. His opinions may sometimes coincide with logical conclusions based on fact, but they do so only because of chance. You only have to look at his views on flouride and vaccination to realise there is no consistency in what he says.

"drill baby drill".
Worked last time
Drove oil price briefly down below $30 .. a lot of fracking companies went bust as a result.
This time oil isaround $72 and the average COST of fracking oil is c $50 so not much profit margin left before fracking becomes uneconomic..
And Saudi Arabia needs around $90 - hence OPEC cutting output...
Prices per barrel.

Looking at the oil price chart, a big descending line through highs since 2024 and a flat bottom. Could either break down to c $20-$30 or break back up again. to $120.. Take your pick of events,

52 48. Fluoride and vaccines, you will need to clarify on that one, for a monkey he is one clever chap, he has encyclopediac knowledge and memory on his subject matters, you would be foolish to debate him and as for Mr Jenkins, would you be so lucky to have him as an advocate for your polluted Welsh rivers. Cheering on his demise seems counter intuitive for anyone who wishes for positive change in regards food, harmful medications and farm chemicals. There is no one else out there of his stature who can make those positive changes.

Does RFK Jr have an opinion on neonics?
Specifically on that I do not know but he seems to have the starting point of opposing any harmful chemicals. He refers to the fact that chemicals used in US agriculture that are banned in Europe confirm they are unnecessary and are simply there to benefit agrichemical companies such as Monsanto. He litigated against Monsanto on glyco phosphates in relation to cancers and won damages of $170m, that case will lead to many others and is ongoing.
Anything that goes against powerful industries will be made contentious, their lobbying machines are very well resourced and have created deep rooted support to suppress any opposition. It would be extremely naive to believe that RFK could make a serious dent in all their activities in a 4 year period. The largest funders of political parties by some margin are these industries and do not do that without reward. The screams of derision by some of those politicians towards RFK in the recent hearings came loudest from those who have for years been recipients of large sums amounting to millions from those industries.
Slightly deviated, Trump in his first term identified his number one mission which signed his political death warrant and the vicious relentless attacks that ensued, the mission was to deal with the opiate crisis confronting the US, he realised as a businessman how devastating this is to the US economy and the health of the nation. The US is drowning in prescribed drug addiction and as they say "a patient cured is a customer lost"

When trying to ascertain the views of RFK on neonics, which I do know, one is legally prevented on Google to do so for EU data reasons. but the headline search produces this result amongst others
