Possibly too late but put a lady beekeeper near to Davidstowe who has tragically ended up with four queenless colonies, any queen would do to get them through winter... a recent member of the beekeeping forum... I have no idea if she has enough posts to allow her to PM you... in her hands... I can do nothing more than give a "heads up"

Couple of years back ... cold not give surpluss queens away for love nor money!
Is this a sign of another winter of colony losses... I hope not!
