One can use the honey dunk method for exchanging liker for like queens , so if you have a suicidal oe kamikaze colony as long as the replacement Q is laying simply hoof out the old Q and pop the new Q well covered in honey on to the top bars or even a small piece of card to watch the proceedings. If she is well plastered in honey the 3 - 5 mins of cleaning taken and her scent is masked and she is accepted.
