Type of feed

Hi all,
Should we have bees on fondant or sugar water at the moment?
When should we consider stopping feed?

Why do they need feeding, have you hefted the hive?

Fondant...although I have been tempted with syrup lately...they seem low on stores but the weather is too unpredictable...

Any other views?

Mine were on fondant for 6 weeks or so after Xmas but are now all on syrup and foraging well.

Suggest you heft your hive, and watch if they are bringing in pollen. They may not need feeding at all, unless you want to stimulate a fast build up, and that's a contentious issue in itself
