Attended a multiple chimney stack today, one flue has a resident colony, and it has been there a while.

Client called me as a neighbour had seen a swarm rise up from the resident colony and swirl down into another chimney.

Whilst removing bees from the room where the fireplace is, I found TWO queens in the room......not strange so far, but both of these were marked red.

Can anyone explain this?

I get this occasionally - more to do with the fact I've now got specs like jam jar bottoms :D

This job still baffles me
