Too many beekeepers, surely not?

Apparently a national newspaper ran a story stating that there are now so many beekeepers that has resulted in bees now starving because there is not enough food to go round.

I also heard this from a friend who heard this story, i have to admit i have not read or seen it yet but i was a bit confused.

just spotted a thread already running on this evidently it is London that has not enough to go round!

duhhh! typical bl**dy journalist. Brilliant chance to mention lack of forage, (even though a lot of it is/was due to weather) and they mess it up. Come to that, global warming due to irresponsable over use of power, cutting down trees etc could also have been used.
