My wife asked this question to me, and i am wanting to know the answer as i couldn't explain it to her.

All those with more than about 40 colonies, how do you go about working them etc?
Is it done with so many a day or do you do them all at once?
Do you have some kind of routine?
How do you cope? I assume many have quite a few out apiaries.
Perhaps a day with a bee farmer might open my eyes to this question.

Go out with a bee farmer, i did and its was a great experance. i was there we he had the bee inpector with him and in about 4 hours we went though 40 colonies. its were a great lreaning experance and a good time to ask questions to him/her and i also had the chance to talk to the bee inspector at the same time.
He were running 350 colonies at that time.
