Thought it might be worth a mention.

Stainless obviously an advantage over galvanised for acid treatments.

However two things struck me pretty much immediately.

1/ They just seem a bit 'rough'. The overall quality impression is not as high as the old galvanised ones. Imprecise jointwork and stapling on the wooden frames for example.

2/ The frames are visibly 'taller' than the old product.
Overall height of the wooden frame has increased to almost 14.5 mm, with a beespace under the wire of about 9.5mm.

The wire/wire passage-space seems to me to be about 4.35mm. Which should be unexceptionable.

Happy to have my measurements & observations cross-checked with the examples you may have or have seen. And especially if you have better measuring kit than I do.
Overall, doesn't seem like a typical "Thornes" product. Not returning mine, but not rushing to buy more either.
