Is this going to be a rubbish year? I did well in Spring, but so far not much nectar coming in compared to May. What about you guys? And from what I read on the forum, around mid july, main nectar flow will be finished. (not talking about heather or ivy, but proper summer flow)

Depends where you live and what forage is around you. My flows end late August/Sept with the Balsam providing the last flow.

Our flows end mid August. After early May, bees have been eating honey (or being fed) rather than producing it...

My Spring take was 10 lbs and my summer take so far is 0.

Says it all.

According to this article, French honey producers are expecting a poor harvest this year.
My own production this year has been reduced (50-60Kg/colony up to 15th June) but not as catastrophic as the article suggested.

Our first year so nothing to compare to, but we had 14kg in total, some from the hive thar swarmed, plus a bit from their new hive, and probably 2/3 supers to take off next week, not fantastic but ok

For me about 50-60kg from the spring flow, mainly sycamore.
Since mid May, nothing really.
Bramble now open and bees are all over it, lime looks like in 1-2 weeks time.

No idea main flow has only just got going here ask in a few weeks

IMHO it’s far too soon to talk about a summer crop but if it is anything like spring, it will be good.

, you don't mean 50 or 60kg per colony do you, hardly??

I have had more honey this spring than i have had in my entire beekeeping journey..i have nearly run out of 10ltr buckets and also supers..but my juggling and extracting of supers may save me from buying any more + frames..i will need more buckets for sure..
The Summer crop will be even higher..the clover lasts forever and so does the 15 acres of conservation land that is full of thistles topped with brambles/RBWH/ and whatever the bees find in the cover crops set by the game keeper..
I have managed to hang onto three 2018 Queens two of which are exceptional..so i think (no i know) i will smash my previous records..

Similar here - turned out a good thing to leave the Spring honey on the hives.
Brambles just opening so hoping things will turn around.

So do you mean that you have a continuous flow that fills supers from mid/late June to September?

Easily on some hives. B+ is experienced and, personally, I had some colonies with 5/6 supers on, so I don’t see why not.
Are you running single or double brood?
