i have a video camera it has two outputs via a pair of phone plugs i want to connect it to my computer to allow me to down load the contents into my computer is it posible and if so how and what will i need to do it

Hi Pete, yes it is possible

First do you mean phono connectors? A phono connector is often used on home HiFi amplifiers. If this is the case then your video and sound output is analogue and you will need a suitable video capture card.

Alternatively the connector you are looking at is Firewire or IEEE1394. A lot of PCs have Firewire already installed, so it is just a matter of using a suitable cable.

As for software, the latest versions of Windows XP come with Microsoft Movie Maker.
