I don't understand the dislike for oxalic.

I dont thinks its a matter of dislike.........

just that not everybody wants to use it just because they are told it needs to be used "or else".

I dont, and also have nice healthy colonies...

That is good. I know that mine wouldn't be as healthy without because of varroa in this area. I witness one untreated colony that wasn't mine, but in my apiary, die out and another severely weakened. The evidence speaks volumes in my apiary so I treat. Each to their own I guess
