I've just inspected one of my hives and found this

It's in the middle of the frame.
I've gone through the hive twice and I'm positive it's the only one.
You can just make out the larvae in the bed of RJ in the pic.

The hive is on 9 frames BAS and bees covering all 11, super is on and they are drawing it.
Queen is present.

My question is should I leave the cell and let them get on with it, AS or break it down?

Thank you

It looks more typical of supercedure, although the cell itself doesn't appear to be close to the brood nest. Personally, since you have seen the queen and if there are eggs present, I'd get rid and see if they have another go.

YMMV.

Supersedure - the OH is v impressed with the correct spelling, not many get it right and it's the only word in the English language to end in sede. :)

I must learn to spell correctly.

OH! Other half!
Only just got that! It's not on the sticky list...well I didn't see it!

My OH mocks me, I was just saying what I did and saw today in the apiary. I get told why can't I take up cocktail making as a hobby and be normal!
I can't wait to see the face when my new poly hive arrives this week!
