Hi Guys
I have read a couple of books and have what is probably a very basic question.
The books suggest the brood box should be filled, then give the bees a super to fill up for their winter stores before adding a QE, then a super for excess honey..
All seems quite straightforward, but presume this would be relative. I have two hives, one with 14"x12"'s and the other 14"x8"'s (I think that is the size off the top of my head for a 'normal' national)
Does the 14"x12" take the place of the super that the books suggest, or should it be added as well.
Cheers
Pete
