sugar syrup ratios

have been looking for a rule of thumb for sugar syrup mix

is there a simple rule of thumb

i.e. for drawing comb/newly caught swarm etc versus autumn feed?

1:1 for Spring and summer then 2:1 for Autumn.

Don't get much simpler really.

2:1 for me for whatever reason..the bees still draw comb fine with that mix..as for mixing it I put whatever quantity sugar into a container mark the level of the top of the sugar and then pour hot water in till it reaches the mark...no matter what container size container I use the ratio will always be 2:1 .

1kg white granulated sugar to 680ml fresh clean water.
