Sorry. That’s completely wrong and thoroughly misinformed. You may feel that way, but there is no evidence of that. The fibre construction does not throw micro plastics. I’m not advocating manufacture of clothing from scratch, but as a way of reusing and arguably removing the plastic from the system, recycling into clothing is a viable solution. It is certainly a more and better use of resources when converted reclaimed plastic is turned into clothing rather than simply being discarded. Better to not have plastics at all, or not in high volume, but as they exist everywhere on the planet, finding a viable and useful solution will help everyone.

I think someone has a petition running at the moment asking the govt. to ensure that all new washing machines have filters for these.

A filter fine enough to trap micro plastics is going to be annoying when it frequently clogs and I can see it rapidly being thrown away. Probably another plan that wont survive contact with the enemy

Best Solution..leave these harmless tiny little small fragments to find the place they come from..

Back to the thymol question; where can i buy the crystals from? Any particular make or quality needed for their highnesses?

Most the big suppliers sell thymol just check the sites.

Problem with shipping cost, doesn't seem to be sold on flea Bay or amazon

The immediate enemy (are we surprised?) actually the govt, whom the petitions committee decided have avoided answering the petition. They have been asked for a revised response.

These bottles are ideal..here is my third 25L batch mixed with thymol ready for the bees..it is much quicker than faffing about with 2L pop bottles..

Mine go in milk bottles.
I’ve only six hives to feed so filled ones go in the honey warmer overnight

Going into at least 6 years with 12.5 liter "invertbee" containers.... 30 odd can be stored conveniently in a "dumpy bag"... BUT make sure they are washed out before storing for the next years batch of 2:1 as rodents can and will nibble through them to get at any remnants of sugar... thymolated or not!

I use those as well which I got off a friend who was throwing some out. Good size to do a few nucs with one container.

I have used milk bottles in the past but it is the same as the pop bottles i needed two per hive..with these big bottles i only need one per hive..;)

I would need 3 of those per hive!

Bit of a faff.

I use the 25 litre variant if I ever need to transport syrup.

I mix, transport and pour syrup from 30lb buckets. Fine for Maisemore polynucs and Swienty feeders, not so easy for Paynes polynucs. I use a large funnel but a full bucket and top heavy funnel have led to a few spillages.
Any tips for filling the Paynes nuc ?
