Probably Yes.
I use a cheap and cheerful aluminium block pan heater, 12v battery job; works fine when ambient temperature is above 10degrees. Below that it struggles. Obviously the size, charge, and Ah of the battery matter. I use a small motor cycle/mini tractor sized one - easliy portable and with enough power for my meagre purposes.
